Join the Princess Alexandra Hospital Emergency Department Mental Health team in Brisbane in one of multiple temporary full-time or part-time contracts (up to 6 months), delivering high-quality acute mental health care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Your new role:
As a Mental Health Clinician (Emergency Department) , you'll play a vital role in providing timely, evidence-based mental health assessment, intervention and care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll help deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while contributing to education, service improvement and clinical excellence by:
Providing comprehensive mental health assessments, therapeutic interventions and discharge planning.
Managing a varied clinical caseload using sound clinical judgement and evidence-based practice.
Working collaboratively with emergency clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
Supporting students, allied health assistants and less experienced staff through education and supervision.
Participating in quality improvement, research and the ongoing development of clinical practice.
Contributing to a 24-hour rotating roster delivering acute mental health services.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

An interest in contributing to service improvement, education and quality initiatives.
Eligibility for the relevant professional registration or membership (AHPRA or AASW, as applicable).
