About the role
We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our supportive People & Culture team, based in our Sydney Central CBD office. This full-time role is a outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering closely with leaders, building solid relationships and helping create practical people solutions that make a real difference.
Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture, you will support our Sydney workforce as well as regional and interstate staff, supporting the delivery of efficient, sustainable and people-focused HR practices across Legacy Club Services.
This is a broad HR generalist role where you will act as a trusted advisor to people leaders across the full employment lifecycle, including employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, HRIS and payroll systems, learning and development, workforce planning, work health and safety, and workers compensation.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
Partner with people leaders as a trusted advisor across HR and employment lifecycle matters
Review and improve recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes so they are compliant, professional and engaging
Oversee employment compliance checks, including Working with Children Checks, National Criminal History Checks and VEVO compliance checks
Support employment relations matters, including performance management, policy interpretation and appropriate escalation of complex matters
Contribute to the review and development of Award and Fair Work advisory tools for leaders and staff
Review, maintain and update employment-related policies, procedures and position descriptions
Act as a super user for HRIS and payroll systems, working collaboratively with Payroll/Finance and ICT teams
Prepare P&C; data, reporting updates and employment trend analysis to support informed decision-making
Identify training needs and support staff learning and development initiatives, including sourcing external training where required
Support workforce planning, employee engagement surveys, culture initiatives and P&C; project work
Monitor staff benefits and support remuneration review processes,
including identifying opportunities for improvement
Support WHS, psychosocial risk, incident reporting, workers compensation and return to work activities as required
Completion of, or working towards, a qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
Previous experience within a People & Culture team at either an Advisory or Business Partner level
Strong working knowledge of the National Employment Standards and Modern Awards, with the ability to confidently interpret and apply them in a workplace context
High level experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel and AI solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted working relationships
Proven ability to engage with and build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in a mature, professional manner in a corporate environment and manage competing priorities
Highly Regarded
Experience working within the not-for-profit sector
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
A high degree of integrity, professionalism and care in your approach to work
Previous experience with HRIS and/or records management systems
A solution-focused, can-do attitude, with a genuine desire to help others and achieve positive outcomes
