We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our Finance team.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for managing all operations and administrative tasks specific to the Purchasing Department, in accordance with the statutory requirements and internal policies and procedures
Initiate and oversee contract negotiation and price comparisons, for the benefit of the company.
Ensure that the orders placed are correct, to the agreed suppliers, for the best price, and the goods received are according to the purchase order
Oversee transactions (purchase orders, transfers, receipts, etc.) to ensure they are correct and have proper supporting documentation and authorisation
Initiate and oversee monthly stocktakes
Perform quarterly evaluation of the suppliers and propose
Manage and oversee monthly stock take to ensure all departments have counted and checked their count, and those responsible have loaded figures into the systems
Monitor staff rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels
To be considered for this role you need to:
Minimum 1 year working experience in purchasing and store management, preferably within a 5-star hotel environment
Microsoft Office Suite – intermediate level
Preferably experienced in Hotel Procurement Software
Good analytical technique and ability to present findings in a report
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
National police clearance
