The Role
We are currently seeking
OOSH Educators /
Assistants and Responsible Persons
to join the teams at several of our successful and well-established services across the
Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions.
These opportunities will be offered on a
permanent part-time basis,
working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs.
The prefrerred locations would be
Edgeworth, Lambton and Shortland.
You must be available to work both morning and afternoon shifts.
As an OOSH Educator / Assistant and Responsible Person,



you will be responsible for:
Supervising children's play, ensuring their physical safety while promoting and guiding positive behaviour
Assisting the developing and implementing programs that offer a diverse range of experiences to promote children's independence, social skills, learning, and development.
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
Computer literacy in order to document examples of learning stories
Experience in an OOSH service (desirable)
QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate III in Children's Services
or
Certificate IV in School Age Education as identified by Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority or be studying towards and early childhood or Primary Teaching qualification
Working with Children Check verification number
Child Protection Certificate - CHCPRT025 or CHCPRT001
Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (desirable)
Food Handler Basics Training (desirable)
