About the RoleAn exciting opportunity is available for a BI Developer to join a growing Analytics team within a large, purpose-driven organisation undergoing a significant transformation of its data and reporting capability.
This is a newly created role where you'll help shape a modern analytics environment from the ground up.
Working with a Greenfield cloud data platform, you'll play a key role in developing trusted reporting, improving data maturity and helping establish the foundations for future Machine Learning and AI initiatives.
Reporting to the Analytics Lead, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to transform complex data into meaningful insights, delivering high-quality Power BI reporting and helping drive better decision-making across the organisation.
You Should HaveAround 3-4 years' commercial BI, Analytics or Reporting experienceStrong Power BI development experienceStrong SQL skills, particularly around data modelling and analyticsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsConfidence working with senior business stakeholdersExperience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting solutionsExperience working with modern cloud data warehouse platforms
Technical RequirementsMust HavePower BISQLExperience with modern cloud data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks or similar)Data modellingDashboard developmentStakeholder engagementBusiness requirements gatheringReporting and analytics
Nice to HaveSnowflakeDBTMedallion ArchitectureData warehousingFinance reporting or analyticsHealthcare, aged care or not-for-profit experience
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign,



develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutionsModel and transform data using SQL within a modern cloud data platformDevelop governed Gold and Semantic Layers to support trusted reportingWork closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and define meaningful business metricsEstablish reporting standards, governed metrics and data dictionariesImprove reporting capability and overall data maturity across the organisationContribute to the ongoing development of a modern enterprise analytics platformHelp lay the foundations for future Machine Learning and AI initiatives
