Bulleen Dental is seeking a General Dentist to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic dental practice in Bulleen, VIC, providing high-quality dental care to our diverse patient base. As a General Dentist, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive oral healthcare services, building lasting patient relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our practice. This part-time position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and practice growth.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general dental treatment including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients of all ages
- Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and bridges to restore tooth function and aesthetics
- Conduct preventative treatments including cleanings, scaling, and patient education on oral hygiene
- Manage patient records accurately and maintain compliance with all relevant dental regulations and standards
- Work collaboratively with dental hygienists, assistants, and other team members to ensure efficient practice operations
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment options, costs, and expected outcomes
- Maintain and operate dental equipment appropriately and report any maintenance issues
- Stay current with advancements in dental practice and participate in continuing professional development
- Contribute to a welcoming and professional practice environment that prioritises patient satisfaction and safety
What we're looking for
- Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia and a valid Australian dental qualification (BDS or equivalent)
- Solid clinical knowledge and practical skills in general dental treatment modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and team members
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and commitment to patient care and safety
- Ability to work efficiently and adapt to the varied demands of a busy dental practice
- Knowledge of dental practice management software and digital systems
- Willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment and support practice initiatives
- Preferred: Experience with cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, or other specialist techniques
