An exciting opportunity is available for an Associate level property lawyer to join the Sydney office of a well-established national law firm.
This role offers exposure to a broad mix of high-quality commercial property work, working alongside respected partners within a collaborative and high-performing team. You'll have the prospect to build strong client relationships while developing your technical expertise across a diverse range of matters.
You'll advise on a wide variety of commercial property matters, including acquisitions and disposals, commercial and retail leasing, development projects, joint ventures, property financing, business acquisitions and sales, strata matters and property-related disputes.
Responsibilities include:
- Running a varied portfolio of commercial property transactions, ensuring matters are delivered efficiently and commercially.
- Advising clients on development projects, leasing arrangements and complex property acquisitions and sales.
- Preparing, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of property-related agreements and legal documentation.
- Working closely with senior lawyers and partners on significant transactions while taking ownership of client matters.
- Developing trusted client relationships and contributing to the delivery of practical, commercial legal advice.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' post-admission experience in commercial property law.
- Demonstrated experience advising on a range of property transactions within private practice.
- Strong understanding of the NSW property framework and electronic conveyancing processes.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
- Familiarity with PEXA is preferred, and experience in property-related disputes will be viewed favourably.
