What you'll be doing
Trainee positions were designed to:
- build the Aboriginal MHDA workforce in Far West LHD to support a culturally appropriate MHDA Service for Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal People
- build skills and knowledge through on the job training supported by a tertiary degree.

About the Far West LHD The Far West Local Health District is one of 15 LHDs under NSW Health, providing high quality public health services to the communities in far west NSW. 2.
Passion and commitment to working with people living with mental ill health / drug & alcohol issues, both Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal.
3. Understanding of the social and emotional issues experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and commitment to improving these.
4. Willingness and commitment to learning and self-development, including completion of the Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health) course at Charles Sturt University over three consecutive years.
5. Demonstrated emotional intelligence in the workplace (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills).
6. Demonstrated effective communication, written and verbal, computer skills and understanding partnership work.
