Simba Car Hire is looking for reliable, energetic people to join our growing team as a Car Detailer / Yard Hand. Whether you've worked as a Vehicle Detailer, Car Washer, Vehicle Cleaner, Fleet Assistant, Driver, Yard Hand, or you're looking to start a career in the car rental industry, we'd love to hear from you.

No experience? That's okay. We provide full training and ongoing support. If you've got a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and enjoy working with cars, we'll teach you everything else.

About the Role

As a Car Detailer / Yard Hand, you'll play an important part in keeping our rental fleet clean, secure and ready for customers. You'll work as part of our operations team preparing vehicles, moving cars around the depot, assisting with shuttle driving and helping ensure every customer receives a vehicle they're proud to drive.

This is an active, fast-paced role where no two days are the same.

Your Responsibilities

As our Vehicle Detailer / Fleet Assistant, your duties will include:

- Washing, vacuuming and detailing vehicles
- Preparing vehicles to showroom presentation standards
- Completing vehicle inspections before and after rental
- Refuelling vehicles
- Parking and relocating vehicles safely throughout the depot
- Driving customers on our airport shuttle service
- Assisting with vehicle movements between locations
- Reporting vehicle damage or maintenance requirements
- Maintaining a clean, organised and protected work environment
- Working closely with our Rental Sales and Operations teams to keep vehicles ready for customers





What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who:
- Has a current Australian Driver Licence
- Enjoys working with vehicles
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Is reliable, punctual and motivated
- Enjoys working outdoors
- Works well in a team environment
- Has great attention to detail
- Can work weekends on a rotating roster

Previous experience as a Car Detailer, Vehicle Detailer, Yard Hand, Vehicle Cleaner, Car Washer, Fleet Assistant, Driver, Car Rental Attendant or Automotive Detailer is highly regarded but not essential. Why Join Simba Car Hire?
