Redcape Hospitality is looking for an experienced Casual Chef to join the kitchen team at Shamrock Hotel Motel in Mackay.

With a new kitchen opening on 1 September, this is an exciting time to join the venue. You’ll work across grill, prep and service, helping the team deliver consistent pub favourites through busy lunch, dinner and function trade.

This is initially a casual position, with the potential to move into a full-time role if it proves to be the right fit for everyone.

What You’ll Do

- Work confidently on the grill and support other kitchen sections as needed
- Prepare and cook meals consistently to recipe and presentation standards
- Support prep, lunch, dinner and function service
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep service moving
- Maintain strong food safety, cleanliness and workplace safety standards
- Assist with stock rotation, portion control and reducing waste

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef in a busy commercial kitchen
- Strong grill experience
- Confidence working across multiple kitchen sections
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent practical kitchen experience
- A reliable, hands-on approach and strong communication skills
- Availability across prep,



lunch and dinner shifts, including weekends and public holidays
