The Anaesthesia

Department supports a busy operating theatre complex delivering a broad range of elective and emergency surgical services, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Endoscopy, while working closely with Critical Care, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care.

The department has a strong reputation for consultant-led care, multidisciplinary collaboration and high-quality perioperative services, making it an excellent environment for Anaesthetists seeking both clinical variety and opportunities to develop specialist interests.

Requirements

- Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), or close to completing Fellowship.
- Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) with an ANZCA interview outcome or specialist assessment are encouraged to apply.
- UK-trained Consultant Anaesthetists holding CCT are welcome to enquire.
- Eligible for, or able to obtain, Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
- Interest in Perioperative Medicine, Pain Medicine, education or service development highly regarded.
