The key duties of the position include:
We are seeking highly motivated and innovative Data Analysts to join our Compliance Engagement Group, Frontline Operations and Smarter Data Program business areas.
As a Data Analyst, you will use your experience and understanding of data analysis, modelling techniques, and business knowledge to address business problems and support data driven decision making.
You will use a variety of tools, scripts, languages and technical knowledge to analyse and interpret data and results, and communicate insights in clear, easy to understand language to support business outcomes.
You will be accountable for organising your workflow and contributing to decision making within your work area and supporting the delivery of team objectives.

Our ideal candidate
- uses data tools and languages such as SQL (e.g. Teradata, MSSQL, Postgres or similar) and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Cognos or similar) to extract, transform and present data in a workplace environment
- analyses and interprets structured datasets to produce clear, fit-for-purpose outputs (e.g. reports, dashboards or briefings) that support operational or business decisions,
and demonstrates critical, analytical and lateral thinking to solve or optimise business problems with data
- applies sound judgement to complete assigned analytical tasks of moderate complexity, including identifying data issues, applying appropriate methods, and explaining results to non-technical stakeholders
- contributes to team outcomes by working collaboratively in a client-focused setting, sharing knowledge and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- understands the challenges of working with data in complex organisations (e.g. large enterprises or government), including managing competing priorities and delivering to agreed timeframes.
Qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics or industry certifications (e.g. Azure, AWS, Power BI, Teradata) will be highly regarded but not essential.
