Volunteers can choose from a variety of fun and rewarding event-day roles, including:
- Assisting with the Rotary barbecue
- Face painting (Blue Card required)
- Selling kites at the festival kite stall
- Helping children and families with festival activities
- Welcoming visitors and providing information
- Supporting the festival car parking team by directing vehicles and assisting visitors
- Assisting with event set-up before the festival opens
- Helping with pack-down and site clean-up after the event
- Providing general event support wherever needed throughout the day
We will do our best to match volunteers with roles that suit their interests, skills, and availability.
### Skills and Experience
No previous experience is required for most volunteer roles. Training and support will be provided on the day.
We are looking for volunteers who are:

### Additional Requirements
Most volunteer roles do not require any special qualifications.
Some roles involving direct interaction with children, including face painting and selected children's activities, require a current Queensland Blue Card. Volunteers who already hold a Blue Card are encouraged to indicate this when applying.
Car parking volunteers should be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods outdoors and assisting drivers in a courteous and safe manner.

Volunteers can assist for either a half-day shift or a full-day shift.
Morning Shift: 8.00 am to 12.00 pm
Afternoon Shift: 11.30 am to 3.30 pm
Full-Day Shift: 8.00 am to 3.30 pm (including breaks)
Additional volunteers are also required for:
Event Set-Up: from 7.00 am
Event Pack-Down: 3.00 pm to approximately 4.30 pm
