Our Client Live Performance Australia (LPA) is the peak body for Australia’s live performance industry. Established over 100 years ago in 1917, LPA is a registered employer organisation under the Fair Work (Registered Organisation) Act 2009, representing over 400 members nationally.

LPA’s members include commercial and independent producers, music promoters, performing arts companies (theatre, dance, comedy, opera, cabaret and performing arts centres, commercial theatres, stadiums and arenas), arts festivals, music festivals, service providers (such as ticketing companies and technical suppliers), independent cinemas and exhibition companies.

The Role

LPA is seeking a smart, enthusiastic, friendly, lawyer with legal knowledge of the Australian Workplace Relations environment.

The role requires demonstrated experience in:

- Employment and workplace relations and/or industrial relations, or a similar field
- Interpreting and providing advice in respect of relevant state and federal employment and industrial relations legislation, modern awards and contracts
- Developing and maintaining effective, professional internal and external working relationships with a range of stakeholders e.g. LPA members, government, LPA board etc.
- Working co-operatively in a small team environment with tight deadlines.





The ideal candidate will hold a legal qualification and have 2-5 years’ experience in a similar employment advisory role. Previous experience providing workplace relations advice is essential. Full PD is available on request to suitable candidates.
