Our client is a leading capital markets and investment group, renowned for connecting global investors to insights, liquidity, and capital that drive their investment strategies. With a reputation for award-winning research. Our client offers innovative products and services in asset management, alternative investment, corporate finance, capital markets, securities, and wealth management. We are seeking an lead Small Cap Analyst who will be responsible for providing lead coverage of the various small cap companies within the Australian listed market. The analyst will provide stock recommendations based on thorough analysis, financial models, company and industry insights. The analyst must be able to present and market effectively, externally to fund managers and clients and, internally to institutional sales and sales traders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sector and a passion for investment research and markets in general.





We welcome applicants currently working in small caps research (sell-side or buy-side) to apply and encourage those passionate associates (ideally with a minimum or 5 years’ experience) who feel they are ready to step up to lead coverage to apply also. We are looking for candidates with a passion for the smaller end of the market and its dynamic nature who possess strong analytical and financial modelling skills alongside writing insightful company research.

Requirements

- 5-15 years’ experience as a research associate or lead analyst or alternatively and investment analyst within funds management would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Robust understanding of financial modelling and spreadsheet analysis
- Ability to work under pressure when required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of commercial awareness
