MAYDAY Recruitment is currently partnering with a well-established specialist medical practice in Sydney CBD to recruit an experienced Casual Medical Receptionist to join their friendly and professional team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous medical reception experience who enjoys working in a patient-focused setting. You'll be providing front-of-house support 2–3 days per week, covering planned leave and assisting during busy periods.

About the Role:

As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. This is a fast-paced position where exceptional customer service, organisation, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional front-of-house experience
- Managing appointments and patient bookings using Best Practice
- Answering and directing incoming phone calls and responding to email enquiries
- Processing patient payments, Medicare claims, and EFTPOS transactions
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Coordinating with doctors and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- General administrative duties, including scanning, filing,



and managing correspondence
- Supporting the wider practice team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required

What We're Looking For:

- Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or within Medical Administration
- Essential: Experience using Best Practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
- High level of professionalism and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care
