Become the Physiotherapist You Always Wanted to Be

Every Physiotherapist enters the profession wanting to make a genuine difference.

Over time, many discover that complex presentations don’t always fit neatly into traditional musculoskeletal models. They begin asking bigger questions.

Why does one person recover while another doesn’t?

Why do some people remain limited despite appropriate treatment?

Why do balance, movement, cognition and physical performance seem so closely connected?

At Ikigai Shift, asking those questions is where we begin.

We’re looking for a Physiotherapist who wants to think differently, continually develop their clinical reasoning and become part of an innovative multidisciplinary team that’s redefining how Physiotherapy contributes to rehabilitation, human performance and longevity.

About the Opportunity

Ikigai Shift is an integrated health, performance and longevity centre built around one simple belief:

The same systems that influence recovery also influence performance, resilience and healthy ageing.

Rather than separating musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, vestibular rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, performance and longevity into different disciplines, we’ve developed an integrated clinical model based on understanding human function.

Our clients include

- Musculoskeletal conditions
- Vestibular disorders and dizziness
- Neurological presentations
- NDIS participants
- Athletes and active individuals
- Older adults wanting to maintain independence
- Professionals wanting to improve health and performance
- Individuals seeking to optimise function before problems develop

No matter why someone walks through our doors, our philosophy remains the same: Understand the system. Measure it objectively. Train it specifically. Reassess it regularly.

A Different Way of Practising Physiotherapy

At Ikigai Shift, rehabilitation is only one application of our clinical model.

The same principles we use to help someone recover from injury can also improve sporting performance, support healthy ageing, enhance workplace performance and help people build long-term resilience.

We believe many assessment and training principles traditionally confined to specialist neurological or vestibular rehabilitation have a place in mainstream Physiotherapy, health, fitness and longevity.

Because better human performance isn’t simply about becoming stronger or fitter.

It’s about ensuring the systems that underpin movement, balance, vestibular function, coordination, sensory processing, cognition and physical capacity are functioning at their best.

Our goal isn’t simply to restore function.

It’s to understand it, measure it, improve it and help people maintain it throughout life.

Technology That Supports Better Human Performance

Assessment only has value if it changes what happens next.

Many clinicians identify impairments but have limited ways of specifically training the systems responsible for those impairments.

At Ikigai Shift, assessment directly guides intervention.

Objective findings are used to design targeted rehabilitation, performance and longevity programs that are continually refined through measurable reassessment.

Our clinicians work with an advanced suite of assessment and intervention technology including:

- VALD Performance Suite
- Reaxing® Treadmill
- Reaxing® Balance Board
- Vestibular Rail Spinner
- SmartFit® Dual-Task Light Wall
- NeckCare Assessment & Training System
- TopSpin 360
- NeuroFlex

These technologies are used across our entire client population—not just rehabilitation. Whether working with an athlete, someone experiencing persistent neck pain, a client with vestibular dysfunction, a neurological condition or someone wanting to improve lifelong health, the same philosophy applies:

Assessment should drive precise, measurable intervention.

Technology never replaces clinical reasoning.

It strengthens it.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re interested in Physiotherapists from two backgrounds.

Physiotherapists Ready to Think Differently

You may be a r ecent graduate or an experienced musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who has realised that not every presentation can be explained through joints, muscles and local tissues alone.

You’re curious.

You enjoy learning.

You ask questions.

You want to better understand how vestibular function, movement, cognition, balance and sensory systems influence human performance.

Vestibular or Neurological Physiotherapists

You may already have formal training or experience in vestibular or neurological Physiotherapy and be looking for an environment where you can continue refining those skills within a broader model of integrated care.

If that’s you, we’ll support your development through mentoring, structured education and a pathway towards advanced vestibular practice.

Why Join Ikigai Shift?

Innovative Clinical Practice

Develop skills using advanced assessment and intervention systems rarely found together in private practice.
