- Contract/Engagement: Initial contract through to 30 June 2027 + 3x 12-month extension options.
- Location: Canberra, ACT (On-site within secure client premises)
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable Power BI dashboards and interactive reports tailored to diverse stakeholder needs.
- Perform advanced data modelling, data transformation, and query optimisation across complex enterprise data repositories.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, technical architects, and key stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into robust data visualisations.
- Maintain, tune, and streamline existing reporting assets to ensure high performance, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Ensure all data solutions adhere to strict government data governance, security classification, and documentation standards.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
- Technical Toolkit: Advanced mastery of Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M Language), SQL, data warehousing concepts, and data integration techniques (aligned with SFIA Level 5 expertise).
- Experience: Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-grade analytics and visualisations, preferably within a Federal Government, Defence, or highly regulated environment.
- Core Capabilities: Outstanding stakeholder management skills, sharp analytical thinking, and a proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical leaders.
Eligibility & Clearance Requirements
- Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current NV1 (Negative Vetting 1) security clearance and be an Australian Citizen.
