Accredited Practising Dietitian – Community Aged Care and NDIS
Your Physio Advantage is expanding its community allied health services and is seeking an Accredited Practising Dietitian to establish and develop our dietetics service across the Central Coast and Newcastle/Hunter regions.
This is an exciting chance to join an established and growing multidisciplinary allied health provider supporting older people and people living with disability.
We are initially seeking a Dietitian to join us on a for approximately two days per week, allowing the role and caseload to grow sustainably. For the right candidate, we are also open to discussing a Casual or permanent part-time arrangement.

About the role
Your caseload will primarily include community-based aged care and NDIS participants. Services may be delivered in clients’ homes, community settings and by telehealth.
The role will include:
- Completing comprehensive nutritional assessments
- Developing practical, evidence-based nutrition plans
- Supporting clients experiencing malnutrition, unintentional weight loss, frailty or reduced appetite
- Providing disability-related nutrition assessment and intervention
- Supporting clients with diabetes and other chronic health conditions
- Providing advice regarding enteral nutrition where within your experience and scope
- Educating families, carers and support workers
- Preparing clinical reports and recommendations for NDIS and aged care funding bodies
- Collaborating with GPs, speech pathologists, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other health professionals
- Contributing to the development of Your Physio Advantage’s dietetics service and clinical pathways
About you
We are seeking a Dietitian who is compassionate, organised and confident working independently in the community.
You will have:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in nutrition and dietetics
- Current Accredited Practising Dietitian status with Dietitians Australia
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance, or eligibility to be covered under our organisational policies
- A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong written communication and clinical report-writing skills
- An understanding of person-centred and goal-directed care
- The ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams
- A commitment to high-quality clinical documentation and professional standards
Experience in community aged care, Support at Home, disability or the NDIS would be highly regarded but is not essential.
Dietitians with hospital, rehabilitation, private practice or community health experience who are interested in transitioning into community work are encouraged to apply.
