Why this role matters The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug (AOD) programs including withdrawal management, residential and non-residential rehabilitation, and harm reduction programs. Salvos services go beyond addressing the core issues and challenges associated with problematic substance abuse and provide participants a place of hope, compassion, and dignity to recover safely.

About The Role As a Program Administrator, you’ll play a key role in keeping the Northern Victoria AOD Services Program running smoothly bringing together reception, finance, quality, and operational support to ensure staff and clients experience a seamless, well-coordinated service. Reporting to the Residential Services Site Administrator, this is a fixed-term full-time position, contracted until October 2027, based on-site in The Basin, VIC.

Conditions

Compensation is in accordance to the SCHADS Award - Level 3.

How You Will Make An Impact

Provide frontline reception support by managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and coordinating client arrivals with staff

Oversee end‑to‑end finance tasks including invoicing, reconciliations, Centrepay setups, client payments, property management, and liaison with suppliers and finance teams

Maintain quality and accreditation processes by supporting staff,



coordinating administrative functions, and assisting with new‑staff induction

Deliver broad program administration through document preparation, resource management, meeting support, record maintenance, mail handling, and oversight of shared assets and fleet vehicles Support WHS compliance by coordinating site maintenance, monitoring safety equipment, maintaining audit readiness, and assisting with ergonomic and emergency preparedness needs What you will bring A Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration is desirable

Demonstrated experience in reception, administration, and customer service environments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders

Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

Well-developed organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administration systems, including Word, Excel, finance, and database management A current Employee Working with Children Check and Victorian Driver's Licence What We Offer The Salvos offer eligible employees well-balanced meaningful perks including: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit
