About the role
Reporting to the Enerven Delivery Commissioning Director, the Project Commissioning Lead will be accountable for site-based commissioning delivery of Enerven Renewables High Voltage and Balance of Plant Infrastructure, ensuring Testing and Commissioning activities are carried out to the highest safety standards, resourced and delivered according to project scope and schedule and challenges effectively resolved with all internal and external stakeholders.
Day to day you will:
- Lead commissioning across the full project lifecycle, from early design support through to post-energisation
- Plan and manage all testing and commissioning activities, including safety, quality, resourcing, and documentation
- Act as Commissioning SME, engaging professionally with clients, project teams, and third parties
- Oversee grid connection and generator approval processes to ensure successful project outcomes
- Lead high voltage energisation activities, including planning, sequencing, and authorisation
- Maintain commissioning schedules, monitor progress, and report on safety, resourcing, and delivery risks
This role will be largely site based and will be required to travel to various sites across Australia and as required. Site requirements will attract overtime and living away from home benefits. A work vehicle will be provided.
About you
Specific qualifications and experience required include:
- 10+ years’ experience in high voltage asset testing and commissioning
- Proven ability to communicate across disciplines, including senior management, clients, engineers, and site teams
- Experience leading commissioning on greenfield and brownfield transmission and distribution substations
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or electrical trade
- Robust technical knowledge of HV systems, including protection schemes, transformers, SCADA, and renewables (BESS desirable)
- Proficient in primary and secondary testing using equipment such as Omicron, Doble, and Megger
- Australian utilities experience and grid connection/hold point testing knowledge highly regarded
