Project Manager

About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing construction business delivering residential projects across South East Queensland.

This role requires a hands-on construction professional who can confidently manage all aspects of project delivery, including planning, procurement, commercial management, stakeholder engagement and team leadership.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with site-based teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients, you will play a key role in driving project performance while fostering strong relationships and maintaining a positive project culture.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

- Lead projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
- Develop and maintain project management plans and delivery strategies.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks and implement recovery actions where required.
- Drive programme outcomes and ensure project milestones are achieved.

Commercial & Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow and cost control.
- Monitor project margins and commercial performance.
- Prepare and review project reports and performance metrics.
- Manage project variations, claims and financial risks.

Procurement & Contract Management
- Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor engagement.
- Manage subcontractor agreements, scopes, variations and performance.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and supplier management.

Stakeholder Management




- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Lead project meetings and ensure explicit communication across all stakeholders.
- Resolve issues proactively and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor Site Managers, Contract Administrators and project support staff.
- Promote a positive, collaborative and high-performing project culture.
- Support staff development and performance management initiatives.

Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
- Drive quality outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience Required
- Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Strong commercial acumen with full responsibility for programme, cost, quality and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, mentor Site Managers and drive high-performance outcomes.
- Well-established subcontractor and supplier network with strong procurement capability.
- Experience delivering projects in complex, occupied or live environments.
- Collaborative leader who contributes positively to team culture and project success.
- Previous Design & Construct project delivery experience essential, with the ability to operate autonomously and take full ownership of project outcomes.
