Mornington Peninsula Shire is seeking an experienced Public Art Lead to deliver public art projects and programs and manages public art assets across the peninsula. Committed to creating vibrant, engaging public spaces through high-quality artworks and activations, this exciting role will be part of a team that delivers lasting cultural value for the community.

Reporting to the Coordinator Arts and Heritage, the core responsibilities include:

- Development and delivery of temporary and permanent public art projects
- Building and maintaining relationships with artists, community, industry experts, and internal and external stakeholders
- Providing subject matter expertise and guidance about public art on capital works infrastructure projects
- Oversee the cataloguing, access and maintenance of the public art collection to industry standards

About You

- Tertiary qualification in visual arts, art history, or relevant related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in public art project delivery and project management
- Demonstrated robust writing skills for documentation of research, preparation of reports, correspondence, prepromotion and project documentation
- An understanding of public art collection management principles and procedures
