About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Centre Cook who is passionate about children's nutrition and enjoys creating fresh, healthy meals that support children's growth and development.
In this role, you will:
- Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals and snacks in line with the Australian Dietary Guidelines and NSW Healthy Eating Guidelines.
- Cater for children's allergies, cultural requirements, and dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, organised,
and hygienic kitchen that complies with all food safety regulations.
- Manage food ordering, stock rotation, and kitchen supplies.
- Work collaboratively with educators to promote healthy eating and positive mealtime experiences for children.
- Contribute ideas for seasonal menus and cooking experiences that engage children in learning about healthy food.
What We are Looking For
- Experience as a Cook, preferably within an early childhood education setting.
- A genuine passion for preparing healthy, nutritious meals for children.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, allergy management, and safe food handling practices.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while being an active member of our team.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check.
