The Role

Due to ongoing growth and expansion, MTR Electrical Solutions is seeking a Variations Coordinator to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working with technical documentation, drawing revisions, and project coordination.

Working closely with our Director, Project Manager, and Technical & Automation Manager, you will play a key role in managing project variations, updating electrical plans, and supporting the successful delivery of high-end residential electrical, automation, security, and AV projects. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment where your contribution will have a direct impact on the business.

The role will include, but not be limited to:

- Reviewing updated drawings to identify changes affecting the electrical scope.




- Preparing and managing variation documentation and obtaining client approvals.
- Updating electrical plans and project documentation following client meetings and approved variations.
- Cross-checking scopes, drawings, and specifications to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
- Maintaining drawing registers and tracking project revisions.
- Preparing documentation for site teams to ensure they are working from the latest information.
- Supporting project delivery through accurate administration and documentation.
- Liaising with suppliers, builders, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Ideally, the Successful Candidate Will:

- Be highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be comfortable reviewing drawings, scopes, and project documentation.
- Have strong attention to detail and be able to identify changes between drawing revisions.
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Have strong time management skills and meet deadlines consistently.




- Be receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.

Prerequisites

To be considered for an interview, you should have:

- Experience in project coordination, contract administration, document control, variations, or a similar role.
- Technical knowledge of electrical, automation, AV, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks effectively.

Previous experience within the electrical, automation, construction, or trade industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.
