About the Role

With direct access to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre and 14 flexible venues ranging from intimate boardrooms to the scenic Level 12 Rooftop, Rydges South Bank is home to some of Brisbane's biggest conferences, galas and celebrations.

We're looking for an F&B; Attendant to join our Conferencing & Events team, helping deliver everything from working lunches and coffee breaks to cocktail parties and black-tie dinners for groups of all sizes. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, thrives behind the scenes of a big event, and takes pride in getting every detail right for our guests and delegates.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, service, and break down function rooms and event spaces in line with event run sheets and client requirements.
- Deliver high-quality food and beverage service across conferences, meetings,



weddings and social events, adapting to different formats and service styles.
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards across all event spaces, including outdoor terraces and the Level 12 Rooftop.
- Work closely with the Conference & Events, Kitchen, and Banquets teams to ensure seamless delivery from bump-in to bump-out.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest and delegate requests throughout the event.
- Assist with stock control, replenishment, and equipment setup, including AV and furniture configurations.
- Support opening, closing, and cashiering duties where required.
- Participate in training sessions to continuously build product knowledge and service skills.

Skills & Experience

- Experience in food and beverage service within a hotel, events, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable working across a variety of event styles, from boardroom meetings to large-scale conferences and celebrations.
- Personable, adaptable, and able to stay calm under the pressure of a busy event schedule.
- Good communication skills and a genuine team player.
- Solid attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends around the events calendar.
