We are currently seeking a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician to join a regional health service located in a beautiful part of coastal Victoria. This is a unique chance to work within a busy and well-supported paediatric department, servicing a diverse regional community.
Role
In this role, you will join a collegiate team of paediatric specialists providing high-quality care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and community settings. The service has:
- A Level 4 Obstetrics unit with approximately 430 births annually
- A Level 3 Special Care Nursery
- Around 650 general paediatric admissions per year
- Over 16,000 ED presentations, with around 25% being paediatric cases
- A well-established community paediatric clinic running five days per week
- Outreach consulting services provided to surrounding areas
You’ll work alongside up to four Consultant Paediatricians, a Paediatric Registrar (Advanced Trainee), and a HMO,
with strong links to regional referral services.
About You
To be considered, you must:
- Hold current registration with AHPRA (or eligibility to obtain)
- Be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics
- Have extensive experience in general paediatrics across both community and hospital settings
- Be confident in neonatal resuscitation and general neonatology
