This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a growing organisation at an exciting stage of its evolution, working alongside experienced professionals across investment, finance and government. You'll play a key role in supporting complex, high-value transactions while helping shape the legal function of a up-to-date investment institution.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role will provide strategic and commercial legal advice across a broad range of investment, corporate and operational matters. Partnering closely with investment and business teams, you'll support the structuring and execution of sophisticated transactions, advise on governance and regulatory matters, manage legal risk,
and contribute to the continued development of legal frameworks and best practice across the organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to combine high-quality transactional legal work with genuine commercial influence in a collaborative, purpose-led environment.
About You To be successful, you will bring
- Admission as an Australian legal practitioner with a current practising certificate;
- Approximately 7+ years' PQE gained in a leading law firm, financial institution or in-house legal team;
- Strong experience advising on complex financing and investment transactions;
- Excellent commercial judgement and the ability to balance legal, regulatory and business considerations;
- Highly developed drafting, negotiation and relationship management skills; and
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and build trusted partnerships across a diverse stakeholder group.
