About the Role

As our Centre Chef, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks for up to 88 children each day.

You will:

- Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks in line with childcare nutrition guidelines
- Cater for children's allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural preferences Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment




- Manage food ordering, stock rotation, and kitchen budgets Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and centre policies
- Work collaboratively with educators and families to support children's wellbeing
- Promote positive food experiences and healthy eating habits

This is a fulltime position working Monday to Friday 6.30am - 2.30pm/7am-3pm. To commence mid August 2026.

About You

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook within an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of nutrition requirements for young children
- Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operationsCurrent Working With Children Check & National Foundations Child Safety training.
- A genuine passion for creating healthy meals for children
