Maintenance Officer – Calvary Kingston Gardens – Springvale South location

Permanent part‑time role: willing to take 3 shifts per week for a total of 45.60 hours per fortnight.

About the role

The Maintenance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring that our facilities are safe, well‑maintained, and contribute to the well‑being of our residents. As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facility, creating a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

- Attend to general maintenance tasks as directed, including gardening where required.
- Check maintenance logs and prioritise tasks, coordinating contractors as needed.
- Under the guidance of the Home Manager, plan and schedule maintenance across the home.
- Order and store stock as required.
- Ensure the timely action of hazards,



incidents and other events that involve the maintenance function.

Qualifications

- Experience in a Maintenance/Gardening role.
- NDIS clearance check or willingness to obtain one.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Workings knowledge of WH&S; and infection control.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer‑focused services.
- Driver's licence, Class:
- Previous experience and understanding of aged care, including retirement village/independent living settings.
- Trade qualifications and/or experience.
