Excavator Operators – 25T Long Reach / Rubber Duck & 30T Excavators
North of Townsville & Townsville

We are seeking experienced, safety-focused Excavator Operators to join our team working across a range of civil construction, infrastructure, earthworks, drainage, and rehabilitation projects in the Townsville region.

We have opportunities for operators experienced with:

- 25 Tonne Long Reach Excavators
- Rubber Duck (Wheeled) Excavators
- 30 Tonne Excavators

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate 25T long reach, rubber duck (wheeled), and/or 30T excavators.
- Operate attachments including hydraulic rock breakers, GP, mud and trenching buckets, rippers, and tilt rotators.
- Safely change attachments using hydraulic quick hitch systems.
- Carry out precision excavation, trenching, drainage installation, bulk earthworks, final trim, batter trimming, backfilling, loading, stockpiling, rock breaking, and material handling.
- Work safely on steep terrain, embankments, confined sites, road corridors, and around underground and overhead services.
- Complete daily pre-start inspections, routine maintenance, plant logbooks, and defect reporting.
- Work collaboratively with site crews while maintaining high standards of safety,



environmental compliance, and quality workmanship.

Essential Requirements

- Proven experience operating 25T Long Reach, Rubber Duck (Wheeled), and/or 30T Excavators.
- Experience operating hydraulic rock breakers, hydraulic quick hitch systems, and tilt rotators.
- Strong understanding of excavation safety and working around underground services.
- Ability to work safely on steep and uneven terrain.
- White Card.
- Current driver's licence (HR licence desirable).
- Previous civil construction experience.
- VOC or demonstrated excavator competency preferred.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- GPS machine control experience (Trimble, Topcon, or Leica).
- Final trim and detailed excavation experience.
- Road, civil, and infrastructure construction experience.
- Experience working around live services.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Traffic Management tickets.
- Confined Space Entry.
- Working at Heights.
