Brisbane based All Fleet Service & Repairs will be expanding in North Queensland and is looking for an experienced Field Service Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to lead our Townsville service operations.
This is different to a normal workshop role—you'll work independently, build customer relationships, and help grow our regional presence, backed by a family-owned business with over 30 years of industry experience .
About the Role
Based in Mt St John, Townsville , you'll provide mobile servicing, diagnostics, repairs and breakdown support for heavy trucks and trailers across Townsville and surrounding regions.
Your onboarding includes:
- 1 week training in Brisbane, then
- 1 week of local support before taking ownership of your territory
Occasional after-hours breakdown call-outs and regional travel are required. Overtime and penalty rates apply.
What You'll Do
- Service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles and trailers
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs
- Respond to breakdowns and preventative maintenance
- Complete job documentation
- Liaise with Brisbane workshop for smooth workflow
- Deliver excellent customer service while working independently
About You
You'll have:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
- 3+ years' heavy vehicle mechanic experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current driver's licence (HR licence or willingness to obtain)
- Positive communication skills
- Commitment to safety, quality and customer service
