Are you an experienced dental assistant who loves creating efficient systems, mentoring others and helping a practice reach its full potential? We are a friendly, patient-focused two-chair general dental practice on Sydney's Lower North Shore that is undergoing an exciting refurbishment and investment in new equipment. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the practice owner to help redesign the way our practice operates.
About the role
- Implemented a modern cassette system
- Set up new surgeries and equipment
- Optimised sterilisation workflows
- Organised instruments, materials and storage
- Developed inventory and ordering systems
- Trained and mentored our dental assistants
- Helped establish consistent clinical protocols
- Contributed to creating a calm, efficient and welcoming patient experience
About you
- You will ideally have:
- At least 10 years' experience as a dental assistant in Australian private practice
- Excellent knowledge of infection control and instrument reprocessing
- Experience with modern dental equipment and digital workflows
- Outstanding organisational skills
- A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting others
- A positive, calm and solutions-focused approach
- The confidence to recommend improvements while working collaboratively
- Experience setting up a new practice or introducing new systems would be highly regarded but is not essential.
