Where you'll be working
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Speech Pathology team at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital (TRRH). Located on the land of the Kamilaroi/Gomeroi/Gamilaraay people, TRRH is the second largest hospital in HNE Health and the key referral hospital for the north-west region of HNE Health; with a full complement of multidisciplinary professionals including Neurologists, Ear Nose and Throat Specialists, Intensivists, Respiratory, Cardiology, and Allied Health professionals.

The Opportunity

This adult clinical role will allow you to work across a variety of clinical areas, including ED, ICU, Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation, and Palliative care wards, and a broad range of outpatient clinics. The service includes instrumental swallowing assessments, videofluoroscopic swallowing studies (VFSS) and the developing use of fibreoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). You will be supported by a dynamic and friendly team to provide evidence-based and patient-centred Speech pathology services, utilising a range of service delivery models, and functioning as part of an effective, multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements

Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.

Current ability to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.

All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
