About the role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join us in Bella Vista, NSW. This is a position offering flexibility and skilled autonomy whilst contributing to our mission of providing exceptional psychological services to children. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing and treating psychological and behavioural issues in children, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
What you'll be doing
Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic interviews with children and their families
Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans based on evidence-based psychological interventions
Providing therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioural therapy, family therapy and other psychological treatments
Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals,
educators and family members to ensure coordinated and holistic care
Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimise outcomes
Providing consultation and advice to parents and carers regarding psychological well-being and behavioural management strategies
What we're looking for
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Clinical Psychologist
Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology (Master's degree or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting
Strong knowledge of child development, psychopathology and evidence-based psychological interventions
Excellent assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with both children and families
Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload effectively
Current knowledge of relevant legislation, ethical guidelines and professional standards in psychology
Proficiency with clinical documentation and record-keeping systems
Preferred: Experience in private practice or contract-based work; experience with diverse populations and complex presentations; training in additional therapeutic modalities
