Job Description
Senior Modern Work and Security Architect
/n
At Fusion5, we help organisations go beyond individual platforms to design and deliver connected, future‐ready solutions that create real business impact.
/n
/n
- Play a pivotal, front‐of‐room role in how Fusion5 scopes and shapes Managed Services Modern Work and Security solutions
/n
- Blend deep Modern Workplace expertise with security know‐how and a consultative, client‐facing mindset
/n
- Help shape Fusion5's growing Managed Services catalogue and emerging Centre of Excellence
/n/n
What You'll Do
/n
/n
- Get involved early in customer conversations to properly qualify Managed Services opportunities – understanding the client's environment, ticket volumes and what they're actually trying to solve.
/n
- Help shape Fusion5's Managed Services offering – what's in scope, what isn't, and how we price and deliver it consistently.
/n
- Contribute to Fusion5's emerging Centre of Excellence, helping build the standards and thinking that will guide the practice over time.
/n
- Bring strong Modern Workplace expertise, with a solid understanding of security concepts (MFA, Zero Trust fundamentals and the broader cyber landscape).
/n
- Support the push toward automation, orchestration and self‐service, helping clients get more value from tools like Halo.
/n
- Engage confidently and credibly with clients – you'll be one of the technical people we trust to put in front of a customer.
/n
- Coach and mentor less experienced consultants where it's useful – this isn't a people‐leadership role, but your experience will help others grow.
/n
- Partner closely with Sales and delivery teams to make sure what's scoped and sold is realistic, well‐understood and deliverable.
/n
- Work alongside experienced Modern Workplace,
security and pre‐sales specialists across the practice to build well‐rounded solutions.
/n/n
What You'll Bring
/n
/n
- 10+ years' experience in Microsoft technologies, with strong depth in Modern Work and Security.
/n
- 7+ years hands‐on experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, including tenant‐to‐tenant.
/n
- A solid understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture – formal solution‐architecture experience is a bonus, but not a requirement.
/n
- Experience working within a Managed Services, Consulting or Systems Integrator environment.
/n
- A solid, high‐level understanding of Microsoft security concepts (MFA, Zero Trust fundamentals) – deeper cybersecurity expertise is a bonus.
/n
- Comfortable in front of clients and confident in pre‐sales‐adjacent conversations – you don't need to be a dedicated salesperson, but you know how to build trust and shape a solution with a customer in the room.
/n
- Robust communication and relationship‐building skills, with the ability to represent Fusion5 credibly in front of clients.
/n
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (M365 Administrator Expert, Identity & Access, Endpoint, Information Protection & Compliance, SC‐100, Teams) are highly regarded; real‐world experience matters more than a full set.
/n
- Ability to obtain (or already hold) an Australian Government security clearance – baseline minimum, with some engagements requiring NV1.
/n/n
Location: Role is based in Sydney or Melbourne. Candidates must have current and unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
/n
Benefits
/n
/n
- A collaborative, down‐to‐earth culture where people genuinely enjoy working together.
/n
- Flexible working arrangements and a strong focus on work‐life balance.
/n
- Birthday leave, volunteer days and regular social events.
/n
- Opportunities for professional growth with clear development plans.
