The Role




Manage a diverse caseload of administrative law and litigation matters for Commonwealth Government agencies.
Advise on merits review, judicial review, and administrative law issues.
Prepare litigation strategies, prospects advice, submissions, evidence, and court documents.
Appear as a solicitor advocate in the Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Circuit Court where appropriate.
Brief and instruct Counsel in complex proceedings.
Build strong relationships with government clients while delivering practical and commercially focused legal advice.
Collaborate with lawyers across a national government practice on significant and complex matters.

Ideal Candidate
Experience in administrative law, public law, or litigation, preferably acting for government or government-related clients.
Strong drafting, advocacy, and legal research skills.
An interest in appearing before Courts and Tribunals as a solicitor advocate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters effectively.
A collaborative approach and genuine interest in developing a long-term career in government litigation.
