Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team based in Chatswood on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of the finance function while supporting the wider business with accurate reporting and commercial insights.
Your responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Leading month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
- Assisting with statutory reporting, BAS, FBT and tax compliance
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Partnering with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
- Assisting with external audits and year-end requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiencies
- Supporting ad hoc analysis and finance projects as required
About You
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant position
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with hands-on month-end reporting experience
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and ensuring compliance obligations are met
- Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to large ERP systems highly regarded
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to build strong stakeholder relationships
