Capable and experienced trade carpenter required for work with a roads/bridge maintenance team based from a depot at Ballina, NSW.This role will involve undertaking a variety of carpentry trade activities including formwork and other functions, working on timber bridges and concrete structures within Ballina and surrounding areas, to maintain bridges and drainage infrastructure.Please note that whilst the initial job site will be located at Murwillumbah, maintenance work is carried out at various locations that may require travelling and staying away for up to a week at a time.
Accommodation will be provided and applicable allowances paid when away from Ballina.This role will involve working full time hours of work (76 hours/9 day fortnight) with chance for overtime, initially for a period of 6 months, with potential for further work beyond this time.




A start of work ASAP is required.Successful Applicants will need;Carpentry certificate of proficiency or Trade certificate - Cert III in Carpentry, or equivalentat least 3 years experience in a Construction Carpenter role, preferably with civil construction experiencecurrent WHS White Card - essentialUnrestricted Australian driver licence - essentialhigh risk work licences, working at heights - preferredfirst aid and CPR - preferredWorker On Foot card - or willingness to obtain (online link able to be provided for successful applicant)positive all round fitness for manual work tasksprevious experience with bridge construction / maintenance will be highly regardedSuccessful applicants will be required to complete a National Police Check.
