Location: Ashley Youth Detention Centre, North, near Deloraine, Tasmania
Employment type: Fixed‑term, full‑time
Classification: Health and Human Services Tasmanian State Service Award – General Stream Band 6
Salary: $111,754 – $126,579 per annum
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the farm and fleet facilities at the Youth Detention Centre.
- Coordinate work health and safety, emergency management, and security systems.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
- Implement and maintain emergency response plans and security protocols.
- Work with the Centre’s management team to support safety culture.
Qualifications and experience:
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) in an Employment status.
- Proven experience in safety, security, or emergency management within a custodial or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and emergency procedures.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
