Experienced Legal Counsel for inhouse corporate team
12-month parental leave contract

This is an exciting opportunity to join CBRE's fast paced Pacific Legal team, supporting a global commercial real estate business. You will partner closely with key stakeholders across all CBRE business lines, providing commercially focused legal advice that supports growth, manages risk and enables excellent client outcomes.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will:
Provide expert legal guidance across a broad range of matters supporting the advisory legal function across all lines of business within CBRE Australia and New Zealand
Manage legal risk, support business growth and ensure legal integrity and regulatory compliance across CBRE operations
Draft, review and negotiate client contracts and other commercial legal documentation
Work closely with business leaders on varied matters related to the provision of real estate services (including brokerage, capital markets transactions, debt and structured finance, property management, valuations, leasing, consultancy, corporate support functions, and , regulatory compliance
Operate with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating within a supportive, high performing legal team
Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders across the Pacific business
About You
You will bring:
A Bachelor of Laws and a current NSW (or equivalent) practising certificate
Experience in a large corporate and/or complex commercial environment (property sector experience desirable but not essential)
Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial agreements
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build collaborative, professional relationships
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple matters concurrently
A practical, commercially minded approach and a positive, team oriented mindset
