We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Trainer to deliver high-quality training and assessment to students undertaking mechanical or engineering-related qualifications. This role is ideal for an industry professional who enjoys mentoring others and sharing practical expertise.
About the role
As a Mechanical Trainer, you will deliver training aligned with relevant training packages, ensuring learners develop strong technical skills, industry knowledge, and secure work practices required in mechanical trades.
Key responsibilities
Deliver face-to-face and/or online mechanical training and assessment
Assess student competency in accordance with training package requirements
Develop and maintain training and assessment materials
Ensure compliance with RTO and regulatory standards
Support and mentor apprentices and adult learners
About you
Trade qualification in a mechanical discipline (e.g. Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Automotive or similar)
Current and relevant industry experience
Training and Assessment qualification (TAE40122 or equivalent)
Strong technical and practical skills
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Desirable
Experience delivering training within an RTO or TAFE
Experience working with apprentices
Robust understanding of WHS and safety standards
