About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on
Truck Wash Person
to join our team on a casual basis, with the potential to secure a full-time position based on performance and suitability. Reporting to the
Yard Supervisor
, you will be part of a small team responsible for ensuring our fleet is cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Tanker Wash
Perform thorough washouts as per training and company standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, addressing spills and grease marks promptly.
Hose out wash bay areas as required.
Monitor stock levels (soap, rags, and other products) and notify office staff for replenishment.
Conduct basic maintenance of washing equipment.
External Truck Wash
Operate the
automated external wash system
as per training guidelines.




Perform manual spot cleaning of vehicles when needed.
Ensure the truck wash area remains clean, including regular oil spill and grease mark removal.
Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of wash equipment.
General Yard Duties
Maintain cleanliness and order in the yard, workshop, and surrounding areas.
Hose off concrete surfaces as needed.
Receive and handle stock using a forklift.
Ensure all tools are properly stored after use.
Perform yard maintenance tasks such as mowing and whipper snipping.
Adhere to
WHS safe work practices
to ensure a protected working environment for all.
Carry out other
ad hoc
duties as required.
Current
Driver's Licence
Ability to pass a
pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
Strong
oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Polite and courteos to customers at all times
Previous experience in
truck wash operations
HR Licence
(highly regarded)
Working at Heights certification & White Card
