Due to continued growth, we're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Textile Fabricator & Installer to join our team.
This is an exciting prospect to learn a specialised trade while completing a Certificate III in Textiles Fabrication through TAFE NSW (Sydney) . You'll receive on the job training from experienced tradespeople while developing skills in both manufacturing and installation.
About the Apprenticeship
Industrial sewing and machining
Fabric cutting, pattern preparation and assembly
Manufacturing custom canvas products
Installation of finished products
Measuring, quality control and problem solving
Secure operation of specialised machinery and equipment
You’ll help manufacture and install products including outdoor blinds, shade sails, awnings, boat covers, caravan annexes, swags, gear bags, tonneau covers and other custom textile products.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in quality workmanship
Has excellent attention to detail and valuable numeracy skills
Is organised and able to work accurately in a busy workshop
Is honest, reliable and accountable
Communicates well and enjoys working in a close-knit team
Is motivated to build a long-term career in a specialised trade
Current Manual Driver Licence
Working with Children Blue Card (or the ability to obtain)
Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)
Hours
This is a permanent full-time position working our popular lifestyle roster:
Monday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Friday, 6:30am – 4:30pm
Occasional out-of-town work may be required
Enjoy a three day weekend every week
We'll provide the training, mentoring and support you need to become a qualified textile fabricator and installer.
Apprentice wages are based on the successful applicant's age and relevant experience.
