We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join the team at Mercedes-Benz Toorak.
This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the dealership, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across all areas of the business.Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of core accounting functions while working closely with dealership leadership to maintain financial integrity and support business performance within a premium automotive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesBalance sheet reconciliationsManaging accounts payable and receivable functionsPreparation of Profit & Loss statements and financial reportsCash flow management and reportingManaging general ledger reconciliations and journal entriesAssisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisEnsuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policiesSupporting payroll processing and related reporting requirementsPreparing statutory reporting and assisting with auditsLiaising with external accountants, auditors, and key stakeholdersAbout YouPrevious experience in an accounting roleBasic understanding of financial accounting principlesAutomotive industry experience highly regardedFamiliarity with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly ExcelRelevant accounting qualification (or working towards) highly regardedStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyProactive, deadline-driven,
