This fixed term 12 month part time role (2 days per week)as Clinical Nurse Educator is located in the Palliative Care Unit at Neringah Hospital and will contribute to the achievement of HammondCare's organisational goals by delivering clinical education programs that assist staff in providing high-quality care that is customer-focused.The Clinical Nurse Educator works in partnership with the Nursing Unit Manager, CNC, HammondCare Health Education Lead and other clinical managers to ensure education activities build and maintain a cohesive clinical team.HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.The essence of this roleProvide educational leadership and clinical guidance to unit staff to foster the development of knowledge and skills in the area of specialityPromote a culture of enquiry and learning that facilitates the development of person-centred practiceWork in partnership with the Nursing Unit Manager, CNC, Hammond College and other clinical managers to ensure education activities build and maintain a cohesive clinical teamDeliver clinical nurse education in the unit and provide educational programs based on needs analysisEvaluate clinical education programs and report/discuss outcomes with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure effectivenessAbout youCurrent registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyCertificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or currently enrolled in the program would be an advantageRelevant Post Graduate qualification in palliative care and/ or extensive clinical experience in specialityEducation qualification or willingness to complete would be an advantage.Demonstrated skills in developing, delivering and evaluating education programsProven ability to provide clinical leadership and act as a resource person/mentor for nursing staffEvidence ofinitiation/participationin Quality Improvement initiativesExperience as a Clinical Nurse Educator or Clinical Nurse Specialist would be an advantageExperience managing a team of skilled professionalsStrong administrative and computer skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBenefits – What are we offeringMarket-leading remunerationSalary packaging; $9,010 annually for living expensesLeave benefits – purchased additional annual leaveReward and Recognition ProgramFitness Passports: Full facility access can include gyms, group classes and pools for yourself and your family.Free independent, confidential counselling services, wand wellbeing resources available through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you & your family.Exclusive discounts at MyCar; Servicing, Brakes, RepairsExclusive commercial discounts for JB HI-FI, The Good Guys, Optus, Dell and Samsung
