The Nursing Director, Mental Health (MH) Community and Acute Services provides professional leadership to all nursing staff within Mental Health Community and Acute Services, within the Mental Health and Specialised Services division.
The role provides operational leadership and management to the Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service (MHAIS).
We are seeking applications to temporary backfill the Nursing Director position on a full-time basis 21 September – 8 November ****!

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:




High level knowledge of contemporary mental health nursing practice and capacity in professional and operational leadership and management to engage and motivate stakeholders to achieve quality consumer outcomes.
Works effectively within a leadership team in responding to the demands of complex healthcare environments.
High-level interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills, ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise effectively with (internal and external) key stakeholders, people with a mental illness, their families and/or carers.
Advanced level knowledge and understanding of the key concepts of national and state mental health legislation, policies, frameworks and standards.
Exemplifies the West Moreton Health Professional Practice Model by demonstrating person-centred care, qualified excellence, safe and effective care delivery, commitment to quality and safety, and collaborative practice.
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. *****
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
Post graduate endorsement and qualifications in mental health nursing and leadership management is required.
