Fairholme College seeks the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Specialist Brass Teacher / Band Conductor to commence in August ****.Duties and previous experience required include:
Experience delivering high quality individual and small group lessons to students from Years 4 – 12 with a robust focus on musical development and engagement.
Demonstrated ability directing and conducting bands.
This role includes –1 hour per week Stage Band conducting / direction
1 hour per week Junior Band conducting / direction




Approximately 1 hour per week group tuition to students involved in Year 4 Band Immersion Program
Experience with preparing students and ensembles for performances, competitions, and AMEB/Trinity College Examinations.
12 months experience in working with students and staff in a school environment with the ability to motive and support them to achieve their best.
Commitment to your work, professional standards, and the achievement of excellence in all aspects of teaching.
The ability to teach a second instrumental area would be an advantage.
The suitable candidate will be required to work with the Music Staff and other Specialist Music Teachers to assist in the ongoing development of the College's music programs.
Excellent communication and organisational skills with a professional approach to planning and collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Music and / or Diploma level qualification or enrolled and actively working towards one;
Current Queensland Teacher's Registration is desirable but not required.
Suitability to work with children, including obligations under the Child Safe Organisations Act **** (Qld) - Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme requirements
