About The Role
The Community Engagement Officer will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the development of person‐centred, recovery‐focused, evidence‐based and innovative clinical and psychosocial services that achieve high quality outcomes for consumers and their families and carers.
This is a full‐time fixed‐term position based at the Medicare Mental Health Centre Campbelltown, available until 30 June ****, with the possibility of extension subject to ongoing government funding.

Duties
Build and strengthen relationships with consumers, carers, community groups and key stakeholders to increase awareness of Medicare Mental Health services.
Lead outreach, events and health promotion activities that improve mental health literacy, reduce stigma and encourage help‐seeking.
Gather community insight and feedback to inform service improvement, support co‐design and ensure services meet local needs.
Skills & Experience
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or extensive experience in community development, health promotion, public health,
social sciences or education.
Demonstrated understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate to groups of people (including public speaking), tailoring communication to suit a specific target group or age range.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate, implement and report on programs with some level of autonomy.
