OG Diesel NQ Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter / Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team in Townsville, QLD.This full-time position offers adaptable work arrangements and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of diesel engines, plant machinery, and light vehicles.
You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical faults, carrying out repairs and scheduled maintenance, and ensuring all vehicles and equipment meet safety and performance standards.Key responsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical faults in diesel engines, plant equipment, and light vehicles using appropriate diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, brake inspections, and scheduled servicing.Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, and associated components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.Service and repair light vehicles, including cars, utes, and vans, addressing both engine and general mechanical issues.Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on vehicle electrical systems.Maintain accurate service records and document all work completed.Ensure workshop safety standards are maintained and that all tools and equipment are used safely and correctly.Work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines and maintain an productive workshop.Stay up to date with industry best practices, new technologies,
